Ryo didn’t have much to protect him, save a pocket knife the Spirit had gotten him in the habit of carrying, even years after it was long gone. And now, shaking, he held the knife to the man before him, breathing haggard as he tried, and failed, to remain calm.
But he knew this man.
He. Knew. This. Man.
Tears flooded down the young mans face, “You’re-- You’re here to hurt my friends! Aren’t you!?”
In all honesty, he’d never use a knife on anyone.. Not even the man before him.

Ryo couldn’t tell; Was Otogi actually trying to be.. No. Ryo had to have been having another fit, right? It had to be. Though, this seemed different? Maybe? Possibly because it would be the first time it’s happened around, well, a person.
Or had Otogi just snapped?
He couldn’t tell.
So Ryo sat in a closet of Otogi’s apartment, a knife clutched to his chest. He didn’t make a sound. He just wanted to be left alone. If it came down to it, of course, Ryo would have never been able to actually hurt his friend. But hopefuly the knife would at least keep Otogi away, right?
Gods, he could hardly breath, and he was shaking, honey eyes darting every which way in the dark closet, alerted by any and every noise. Even ones that likely did not exist.
‘They’ll fiiiind you~’
‘Landlord, if only you had me, then you’d always be safe~’
He couldn’t tell the voice of the Spirit to shut up for fear of being found. Plus, part of him knew… Knew that the Spirit of the Ring was gone. He hadn’t touched or seen the Ring in years….
